Get hopping with a few fun-filled family-friendly Easter creative movement activities! Your child is always in motion. Turn that excess energy into something productive with a holiday-themed idea. These activities can help preschoolers and young elementary schoolers to celebrate the holiday while building gross motor and creative thinking skills.
Follow the Bunny Leader
Name a leader to play the role of the Easter bunny. The bunny leader should hop, hop, hop around the house or yard. Your child and their friends, siblings, neighbors, grandparents or other family members can hop along, following the bunny. Repeat this movement game with your child or other players as the leader.
Bunny Dance Party
Dress up in bunny ears and have an Easter-themed dance party. Your kiddo can hop, twirl and groove to their favorite tunes. Take the dance party to another level and deck out your home/party space with Easter decor. Make a bunny poster, hang an Easter banner or accent the room with faux grass-filled baskets.
Easter Spelling Movement Game
Can your child spell the word Easter–without a pencil, marker or crayons? Ask your kiddo to create each letter with their body. They will need to use their arms and legs, bend and stretch to form an E, A, S, T, E and R!
